Summer Meeting 2018
We would like to invite you to the Spring/Summer Meeting of the Scottish Surgical Paediatric Society in Aberdeen on Friday 22nd – Saturday 23rd June 2018. It has been a little while since we last had a meeting ‘up North’ and we are delighted to be able to show you the stunning new entrance to the hospital. We do hope as many of you as possible will make the trip up to see us – we have a great array of presentations to tempt you with!
Venue
The venue for both days of the meeting is within the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital (RACH), Westburn Road, Aberdeen. AB25 2ZG. Come in through the main entrance of the hospital and the seminar rooms are on the 3rd floor and will be signposted accordingly.
Friday:
Trainee meeting 10am – 1pm
Lunch/Registration 1pm-2pm
Meeting 2pm-5/5.30pm (depending upon presentations)
Business meeting 5.30-6pm
Dinner (Aperitivo, Centre of town) 7.30pm
Saturday:
Registration/coffee/bacon rolls 9am-9.30am
Meeting 9.30am – 12.30/1pm (depending upon presentations)
Attendance
Please use the SSPS website application page to register your intention to attend the meeting and indicate if you wish to attend the group dinner on Friday night. If you have an abstract to submit please do so at the same time.
Costs
We aim to ensure that the meeting is free to those trainees presenting and to those who are members of SSPS.
Parking
Parking is available in our brand new multi-storey car park!
Abstract Submission
Please submit the title, authors and a short abstract via the SSPS website application Page

Please aim to submit these details by Monday 11th June.
It is most likely that any submissions will be accepted and you will be formally notified of this by Wednesday 13th June 2017

Aperitivo

Costs for dinner TBA, will be announced at beginning of meeting (likely to be around £40 for 3 courses with wine, £30 for those not drinking).
Please give payment cash/cheque (payable to SSPS) to Melanie during the meeting.
The SSPS will buy dinner for those trainees who are presenting at the meeting so that should be incentive enough!
Accommodation
The area around the hospital and the City Centre are all pleasant and the hospital is within walking distance of the hospital (at a brisk pace!).
